Trev Thomas Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 you can expect to get around 25 quid each on a good day
Mal C Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Got my Orange Roy Hamilton off my mum, who for some strange reason told me she thought it was Elvis, great memories of her dancing to it while doing the hoovering... mal
Guest Awake 502 Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 There are also a few rare orange 1st issues that you don't see too often, Herb Ward for instance. Judy Freeman ??
Geeselad Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 There are also a few rare orange 1st issues that you don't see too often, Herb Ward for instance. Judy Freeman ?? Exciters- blowin up my mind
Sebastian Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Got my Orange Roy Hamilton off my mum, who for some strange reason told me she thought it was Elvis, Elvis claimed to have been very influenced by Roy Hamilton's singing style so it kinda makes sense. Some info: https://www.elvisinfonet.com/presley_hamilton_spotlight.html Here they are together in 1969:
Patto Posted September 20, 2011 Author Posted September 20, 2011 I've got the EXCITERS 2nd issue 1038 also and looking at popsike this release is sold much more often than the first orange release so suspect a lot of DJs spin the 2nd issue. The orange WILLIE KENDRICKS--Change Your Ways is rare and can fetch good money

Soul-slider Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 I think 'Man without A woman' is a fairly hard one to get? Can't remember the name of the duo but it's in my box somewhere!
Wiggyflat Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 I'm assuming that some originally came out on black and were reissued on orange and some had their first release on orange. That Lp with Change Your Ways came out in the UK on a green label LP and that oil strike vinyl....you can bend it in half. Man Without A Woman-Michael and Raymond.Willie Kendricks came out on a 3 track boot a lot later.Must dig that green label lp out....always thought it was a duffer apart from Willie's track.
