Brummie Mick from the 100 club, and the chap who used to sell records at the back by the food hatch, he was a cross dresser, with a black wig.... I knew Mick, and bought a couple records from the chap at the back, just wondered...

admit ably two pretty crazy cats... :glare:

Cross dresser was that Rob the Stick ,hes on facebook top man / woman..

Is she seriously on facebook ? I say she, as I'm sure the op would have been done by now.

I would like to get in touch with her, as I used to travel with her when she was Rob, and then when she started being Robyn, but we lost touch, and I need to tell her about a close friend of ours who's passed away.

If you are in touch with her, will you tell her Alison from Leeds was asking after her & would like to get in touch. I'm on facebook, Alison Hamilton

Thanks

Oh right, I used to know Tony, he really got me into Northern, he's a bit of a hero in the Birmingham area due to the Outrigger on Moor street..nothing what so ever to do with the noisy neighbors in Wolverhampton.... :D

If Simon from Brighton's' about he has a great story on Brummie Mick at Cleethorpes, we fell about in fits at something he said that described him to a tee, I'll not repeat it here, but if you know Simon do ask him.

Mal - I remember Brummie mick very well, but the cross dresser?? Memories elude me. Maybe I just didn't go into that bit of the club much.

yeah Robyn, he was there every month especially in the 9ts, always in the same spot, had big boxes of 45s, I had some bargains out of those boxes...you gotta dig deep when the situation requires Marky boy!!

Paul Sutton (Sutty) on here has fond memories of him staying the night; think Robyn was a friend of his wife Jay, as they were all from Up north, Barnsby I think..

still on for the 8th, so where is this do?

Robin is from Carlisle and as far as I know is still there, but not heard from him/her for donkeys years. Yes did have a visit one night that lasted a week! I met Robin through Bub, Jerry and Stuart. Stuart is still with us and on facebook, the other 2 guys sadly missed :/ we did have some REALLY good laughs, and between them when on form it was like being in a top comedy show, I could tell many a tale.

I only saw Mick at the 100 club and i've not been for about 10 years I guess but he was always a nice guy I thought.

I'm in almost daily contact with Jimmy Lynn, he's very well, made a million or thereabouts with his partner out of property development and is as ever making his own music in between appearing to enjoy himself immensely and still not doing a proper job, he's done all right. He's been a good friend of mine for many many years, Now, how long have you got with Jimmy tales lol, love him to bits (but not in the biblical sense), lets just say every event on a daily basis has a story attached to it. Lots of good memories, some rather insane ones, and a friend for life, and there aren't many of them about,

cheers Sutty

Anyone know of Tony (The Vicar) Clayton? And what he's doing nowadays?

Also remember buying loads of records from a DJ's house in Norwich, but now haven't got a clue who that was!! Mid 1980's. Did Tony Dellar ever live in Norfolk???

Rab/Rob/Robyn is from Lancaster originally but used to travel to venues with a few of the Carlisle crew and eventually moved here. Inherited some cash and decided to change gender...........

I haven't seen him in the city for years, heard he was back in Lancaster

Yeah when I used to hang around with him & then her (early 90's to mid 90's), she definitely lived in Lancaster (went to his & then her house a few times), I think Rob/Robyn's daughter also lived in Lancaster, but to be honest those years of my life are a bit of blur, so it may be the daughter that lived in Carlisle.

I hope wherever Robyn is, she's now happy

Guest in town Mikey

I ant see it mentioned but Brummie Mick bought a bar in Spain about 2003/2004 and moved out there.

He came back to the 100 about a year later and said the summer was good, but winter trade was terrible.

Great fella.

Tony had some "unpleasantness" with the police which led him doing a spell in nick for having some "unpleasantness" with a young male. This was in the local papers to us a bit embaressing really when He was found guilty he asked if he could go home first to "Feed the cats"!!! If I remember corectly He was put in the slammer ( and I think He pleaded guilty to it) for performing a sex act on a miner ( I'm not talking pit man here guy's either) you can get the full story from the Leicester Mercury web site it was about 8 or 9 years back.Regards Simon.

Mick was at the B.O.S. gig last night, looking fit and well. He's been back from Spain a few years now. Works at Brooklands Hospital in Marston Green, I bumped into him in the canteen there when I was up for the day on a course. Very surreal moment. He lives somewhere nearby I think. He's on FB (Michael Lee), sure he wouldn't mind you looking him up on there.
