Guest Brian J Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Last year I watched a shed load of different Northern Soul documentaries that had been placed onto DVD. One particular documentary, I can't remember which, had a piece were they interviewed a total wa'nker, who quite honestly, you could tell had nothing at all to do with the 'scene' but nevertheless was interviewed. If I remember rightly, he was half-perched on a bar stool (one leg hangin' over the stool, one on the floor, Frank Sinatra style), making like he was some kind of aficionado. He was a complete 'luvvie' of the enth degree.Does anyone know which documentary I mean and who it was? These were the immortal lines he uttered..........word for word; "The scene is really kicking-back-in now, in England itself.....and it's rejuvenating the real music as it were....and it's sort of, undercutting the club scene.......and it's still got 'rave' appeal and a kinda 'high energy' appeal.....but real singers, real voices, real songs....and it strikes me it's becoming 'a la mode'. It's gonna set a trend if it catches on!" God give me strength!
