Guest Paul Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 My favourite Shout 45 is probably 'Mr Success' by Bobby Harris.
Anoraks Corner Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 This used to be absolutely HUGE at the 100 Club for AdyC...an anthem even...but when was the last time it was spotted on a play list anywhere?! A top Latin-tinged Big City Belter...with a cracking Northern dancer on the flip as well! Time to blow the dust off!?
45cellar Posted September 13, 2011 Author Posted September 13, 2011 This one states A DIVISION OF BANG RECORDS - 1650 BROADWAY N.Y.C. This one is a STYRENE Monarch Delta # 67517 - July/August 1967 - 1650 BROADWAY N.Y.C.
Steve G Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 (edited) I collected this label some time back and think I got em all in the end ( a couple might not have got issued ), including a few good 70s. Some amazing stuff in there, two great Phillip Mitchell's, Deon jackson, Jimmy Radcliffe, Richard Marks, Moses D, El Shobey plus a host of other goodies. Has there ever been a label CD done? "Shout about Soul!" or something - one for Ady? Edited September 13, 2011 by Steve G
Spacehopper Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 picked up the exciters/number one off a mate for a tenner a while back, nice little tune...has it been played out much and if so where? cant remember hearing it out myself...might chuck it in my playbox for the next go go dean
boba Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 i saw a weird shout number on ebay recently that i've never seen in any discographies. it was by the equals, I don't remember if it was black skin blue eyed boys or something else. it had the same label design as the other red white and blue shout labels. it didn't look like a jamaican press or anything like that. i should have saved a scan, it was bizarre.

This one? One of the most intense things released on the Shout label.
Kris Holmes Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 found a couple of pics on my photobucket account label variations of a scarce one

boba Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 This one? One of the most intense things released on the Shout label. I must be confused. I swear I saw a shout title where the number didn't fit into any of the shout discographies. Maybe I was wrong. I apologize if I confused anyone else.

Kris Holmes Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 i think my copy of this has the same label on both sides.
Dean Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 This IMO is a great tune, hairs on the back of the neck stuff, but never hear it (played it a few times out when we did the Attic). You can pick 'em up very very cheap, if you see one a couple of quid . . . . get it.
Dean Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Part of growing up for a lot of people on here I should think. Sounds ok
Dean Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 (edited) Thought this was well worth a post. Check out the album cover, from when smoking was cool, not to mention leather trousers. Track 3 side 1 . . . . . . Open the Door To Your Heart, wonderful version. Edited September 16, 2011 by Dean
Dean Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 . . . . . . and one for Kev H. Put me onto this a few years ago when it was another really cheap one. One of my favourite home plays of the last 2 years.
