Guest Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Are there any Jimmy Ruffin albums worth buying, after listening to his single "Tell Me What You Want" I would like to buy more of his music, but not sure where to start?
Craig W Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Depends on what you want to listen to , if its vinyl and Jimmy at his very best I would recommend the Ruff 'n ' Ready Lp from 1969.Great album cover as well.
Soulsmith Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 They are all worth buying. Not that expensive either, if you're prepared to take your time & scout around a bit. Col.
Gene-r Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Bought his first UK LP "The Jimmy Ruffin Way" from a boot fair for 50p a few months back! Nice and rare, but nothing really ground-breaking, other than "World So Wide, Nowhere To Hide".

Eddie Hubbard Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Are there any Jimmy Ruffin albums worth buying, after listening to his single "Tell Me What You Want" I would like to buy more of his music, but not sure where to start? One of his best albums is the budget priced " I've passed this way before " on MFP , all the hits and a whole host of unissued and b sides etc - should be really cheap as well !! Best Wishes ,Eddie .

Cheapsiderecords Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Somebody on here was asking for the Polydor self titled album. I played it at the weekend and it is a great mix of 70's dancers and ballads - recommended.
