Sad to report that Ernest Kelley died on Saturday, August 27th.

Aged 83, he lived a long and interesting life and will be missed by many friends - especially in the music business and particularly in Detroit.

I was proud to be Ernest's publisher and licensee.

Rest in peace.

As you and others say a sad day for soul music. 83 a good innings though and he leaves behind some great music which will last forever.

I didn't see that because I haven't been online since Tuesday (my computer was out of action).

I got an email via Ernest's daughter but I couldn't access it until today.
