Are you sure this came out on german Stax?

Been told a few years ago that it did.

But when a testpressing of the supposedly german release was for sale last year it turned out it was just pressed in Germany for UK Stax.

So can anyone confirm that it came out in Germany?

Your confirming my suspicions already regarding this release !!

I know of the US copy and and UK copy BUT have seen a few listed recently as GERMAN Stax ?

As far as I was aware Stax never issued a GERMAN copy of this release but it was UK copies of the release JUST pressed in Germany !!!

Thanks for the replies , £5.00 UK copy just bought , bargain ! :wicked:

I sold a german test pressing (or perhaps musterplatte for want of a better word!) a year or two ago, but as Benji says this was for the impending 1980's release of the LP for UK Ace / Stax.

I'm not aware the LP was ever released originally on German but may be wrong.

If it was released in Germany I would have seen/found a copy by now. Been searching for it for quite some time. I think it's safe to assume it never came out over here.

What's the LP like by the way?

Nice all round pieces of crossover soul, includes One more chance, What you gonna do, and at least two or three other quality tracks plus was something on it from memory which might have been LP only?

Tell It Like It Like It Is, is on the LP and was previously unreleased before then

And very good too, best track on LP

Actually funnily enough just picked up another one of these if anybody's interested in one......
