Guest Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Hi - I'm struggling to pinpoint a realistic price on this - can anyone help and advise what is a sensible valuation for this in ex condition? Thanks, Mark
Reg Scott Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Hi - I'm struggling to pinpoint a realistic price on this - can anyone help and advise what is a sensible valuation for this in ex condition? Thanks, Mark Seems to be more scarce now but I expect £75 - £100 on Greedy. If anybody has a copy on EJA for sale let me know.
Guest Nick Harrison Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 If anybody has a copy on EJA for sale let me know. The european mainlanders seem to have purchased those EJA earlier copies over recent years. Mr Evans - I would pitch @ £50 - £70 on the cheaper Greedy stock copies. But then if you which to engage in that "demand x availability = silly money science"......................good luck.
Sebastian Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 By the way, the EJA and GREEDY releases are two different recordings of the same tune. They sound very different from eachother.

Indeed they are Sebastian.........with the earlier EJA recording sounding so much rawer. I think the sound clips are deeply buried in the x - over thread. And like you Seb - glad I own one on EJA and the seventies mix on Greedy. IMHO the EJA is worth a whole lot more pennies.
Guest Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 As a follow-up, I pitched it onto ebay @ 75 (and its in top nick) and it didn't get a sniff. Back into the collection for now.
Sebastian Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 As a follow-up, I pitched it onto ebay @ 75 (and its in top nick) and it didn't get a sniff. Back into the collection for now. Seeing as the GREEDY issue usually goes for £30-£50 on eBay, I'm not suprised. Stating the obvious here perhaps but auctions are driven by the desire to grab a bargain. Starting the auction at or near the percieved "value" (or above it!) puts most people off bidding on the item.
Guest Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 (edited) No problem with the principle but with the original question I was finding it difficult to get a clear price and the value range on this thread went from 50 to 100 so it was an exploratory listing at 75 to see what would happen (for a cost of 20p). Popsike shows 11 sales on Greedy since Jan 2010 at an average price of £60 with some not in top condition - so clearly some went for higher. Thought it would be useful feedback for others who may wish to sell that £75 possibly is too high - but perhaps not by that much. Edited September 11, 2011 by Regalian
