Ady Croasdell Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 The Phelectron 45 Anyone got a scan or know where I can hear it or know the writer details? Ta Ady
Robbk Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 I swapped my copy to Rod Shard. If I remember correctly, the writers on the slow side were the same as on the A (fast) side. But that was almost 30 years ago that I last saw it. So, I can't be sure. Maybe Rod knows who ended up with the record?
Tony Smith Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Ted Massey has this record, or at least he did?
Chalky Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 any chance of a scan Ted (and a sound-file when refosoul back up and running). Found two little scans on the web but barely readable.

Ady Croasdell Posted August 19, 2011 Author Posted August 19, 2011 I've seen a scan of a boot of the label that says pressed under license on it (not from the label owners) but can't see it for sale on Ebay or Amazon. I see Rudzi has it in Leicester and another site but it doesn't seem to be about much. Any idea who did it and when? PM if necessary. Ady
Ady Croasdell Posted August 19, 2011 Author Posted August 19, 2011 Thanks Ted, that answers my original question. Ady
Simon T Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 The Phelectron 45 Anyone know the writer details? It was the 'lady in red'
Robbk Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 It was the 'lady in red' I recognise Johnny Jr. The older couple must be Johnny Sr. and Jr's mother. Who is the younger woman. Is that Jackie Day? Doesn't seem to look quite like the photos of her I've seen.

So, they named the label after "Phlecky". Did the latter run the label, while Johnny was working at his law practise?

Simon T Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Your near Simon but no cigar I'll reveal the full story in the sleevenotes to Jackie's complete recordings CD end of September What with, the name of the lady in red or the naming of the label? (The lass in blue was mistaken to be Pearl Cochran (Baker) in the original article it came from)
Ady Croasdell Posted August 21, 2011 Author Posted August 21, 2011 I'll pm you tomorrow or give Andy a ring later
Blackpoolsoul Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 I am relatively new to this site and wondered if anyone has discovered who Terri was, her other release was penned by Jean as well and I wondered if this was her singing (maybe I am wrong as often I am)
Mick Holdsworth Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 I quite like the other side (What else . . . )
