soullad
Thanks everyone, any prices thou? Is The Girlwatchers a rare disc? Ian Link to comment Social source share
Kris Holmes
Maybe $20 each. I know I got $5 or $10 for Ike & Tina on ebay a while back, but I thought that was way cheap. Don't know the Girlwatchers. But neither show on Collector's Frenzy which tracks records which sell for $25 or more through ebay. Link to comment Social source share
Anoraks Corner
I've had WDs and orange stock copies of the Girlwatchers...fabulous track imo! Not too easy to find, but doesn't achieve much as not a well known disc at all. Mind you, if the RnB crowd pick up on it now it could head towards three figures I'm sure...on your marks, seeeeet, go...and they're feverishly tapping their keyboards now buying blind in hope of making money...or is it to have a new tune!?!?! Dylan
what is the other side to this ike and tina turner ? Link to comment Social source share
soullad
Well, username kbphyde from Germany has just listed one on ebay, with soundclip ... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GIRL-WATCHERS-LONELY-AVENUE-MOONGLOW-DEMO-NORTHERN-HEAR-/370534985014?pt=UK_Records&hash=item56459b2d36 as for the b side of the Sonja, its The Ties That Bind, a deep soul gem, later released on Minit, which funnily enough credits Willie Mitchell as a producer, so maybe a southern US recorded single? I would like a clean copy of this 45 on sonja if anybody has one for sale ? flynny or kris ....... or anobody else ............ Link to comment Social source share
Kris Holmes
I think my reasoning for letting it go was that I have a NZ press of WNAU on London & the Minit press of YGTMTTB so it was better to have 4 different tracks on 2 45s than 4 different tracks on 3 45s, downsizing. Kris Holmes
I'm wrong, whatever one I had wasn't the one in that auction above. Link to comment Social source share
Dylan
i'm sure that auction price is a freak although I don't have the 45 i've seen a few and its never gone over $20 i've just been a bit lazy with getting my bid on. I know here other on sonja goes for a lot due to R&B demand so possibly somebody got the 2 45s mixed up ? Link to comment Social source share
Weingarden
There was a discussion of the price of the Sonja record on here several months ago: https://www.soul-source.co.uk/forums/topic/135055-tina-turner-we-need-an-understanding-sonja/page__hl__sonja__fromsearch__1 Link to comment Social source share
