bri pinch
more collectable if it has the b side....love has to grow, still only a 25 quid touch at that, UK or US Copy Link to comment Social source share
Chris Anderton
Yeah the side on the demo copy is just a deep slow thing..the other side on the demo is much better, midpaced crossover style. Simon, good to see Measham car boot is still going strong mate! Cheers, chris Link to comment Social source share
Garethx
I'd say the popsike result is either a couple of snipes gone wrong or a series of malicious bids as this is only a ten quidder in that format. Link to comment Social source share
boba
you all are wrong ... it's actually collectible because it's a promo and has a long version on one side. much rarer in that format. i think it was a bidding war between japanese bidders on that one but i've seen another promo go for like ~$300 Link to comment Social source share

boba
Thank's for that next one will be fifty quid then regards Simon. if you have a promo with the long version i will give you 50 quid, for my collection, not for resale. I personally wouldn't pay more than that though. Link to comment Social source share

NEV
Do recall we had a thread on this one a while back when that ebay went through?? Link to comment Social source share
Chris Anderton
Think I have a demo too, probably used as a door stop in the record room... Now, lets see the rush to get these "rare" demos on ebay! I must say, there was another demo copy that had gone thru at $90. Chris Link to comment Social source share

Garethx
I take what Bob's saying about the longer version with the spoken passage giving the record an added dimension of collectability but that popsike result is still an anomaly to me. Over five hundred dollars is way over the top. Link to comment Social source share

Over five hundred dollars is way over the top. I agree, I think some long time collectors will pay for the number and not the quality though. I recently got a copy of the rarer regal dewy 45, stock with the flip. I was super psyched because I got it cheap and it always went for a lot on ebay, like $200 or something like that. It was terrible. Link to comment Social source share
boba
so apparently it probably was a fluke since i just won a copy for $10. Although I have won some very expensive records for $10 so who knows. Link to comment Social source share
Mike Lofthouse
Discussed back in 2009 ... sold mine for $94 inc postage Mike Edited November 27, 2011 by Mike Lofthouse Link to comment Social source share
boba
Discussed back in 2009 ... sold mine for $94 inc postage Mike thanks, I had not seen the earlier thread. Either way, I didn't think it was a total fluke at $500 but rather that it's a very specialized market item and two bidders who need a copy have to see it at the same time to get any money for it. That's less likely to happen than for an in-demand item. Link to comment Social source share
