Dean Rudland Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Chevere's a great latin instrumental, with a touch of funkiness. Can't remember the B-side, but it's not the same a the PS 64 Schoolyard single of the same(ish) name.
Soulgirl85 Posted August 15, 2011 Author Posted August 15, 2011 Cheers , i just got a pm saying it was comped on a cd called swinging latin 60s ! i think this is the most popular side , but the side im more interested in is the b side , its produced by ray rivera so im thinking it could be an underplayed party track ! could turn out to be rubbish though .... the search goes on ...
Dean Rudland Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 That was Joe's own comp. Distributed in Peurto Rico and maybe New York and Miami, not much further than that though! I'd like to think that if it was any good I'd have spotted it, but I'm not sure that is true, so I'll dig it out this evening.
phillyDaveG Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 He did an excellent LP on MGM in 1965 called "Fiddler on the roof goes latin" (which is funky latin versions of tracks from the musical "Fiddler on the roof"!). Strange idea, but it's works.
