Anyone remember the Scarborough to wigan coach, first started by Nick Ward? The coach went every month to the oldies and probably ran for around 4 years until Wigan closed, picking up in York, Leeds train station and anywhere else people might be waiting. Lots of good memories, including the squad waiting for us when we got back, the odd fight at Birch services. Tommy, the driver was on board with what we were doing, and always watched out for us. I worked for the coach company so always got in to trouble from my boss due to the constant searches [ I don't think they clicked that I worked there so always new when they were going to bust us, it drove them mad coz I kept getting of in York and got the train back to Scarborough.

So who else is out there that remembers me or has any other good memories?

I miss York and often think of everyone. What about Softy, Clampy, Toiny? Still often think about Steve T. We did have some good times!!!! The original Hipsters, flipsters and finger popping daddies!!!

Never caught it en route - but do recall boarding it homebound back to Leeds then the train to Skipton. But that was after saturday nite session's. Never ever paid either................but christ my ear's did, it was quite overwhelming as many still displayed a feeling of "well being" and still deeply engaged within a chemical romance. :D

Thanks for the journey Dolb................... :P:thumbsup: .

I remember a fight kicking of one night with one of the guys from keighley, bit of a scuffle on the coach, carried on at Birch and culminated with Tommy the driver getting punched. Made a mess of his lip, but he just carried on still took us to Wigan.

I used to get this coach to Wigan from Scarborough. I used to come up from Driffield and stay at Mick Hussey's flat, with Mick and Jinxy. Used to travel with Mick, Jinxy, Ricky Posgate(?), black Rob etc, etc. I always remember the one night when the coach stopped in Leeds on the way to Wigan so everyone could have a pint (and pick up whatever stimulants that needed picking up). After everyone had got back on the coach and we were pulling out of Leeds all the police piled on the coach making everyone put their hands on their heads and whacking anyone who didn't. I'd never seen so many bags of pills shooting up the aisles of the coach. we all had to go into Leeds police station while they strip searched everyone. The police lined up a hall with chairs on both sides for people to sit on after they'd been searched and I remember there was a nasty f@cker of a sergeant who brought the first lad out and sat him on one side of the room. He'd been found with something on him and the sergeant said "by the end of the night all this side of the room will be full of you fuckers". By the end of the searching there was still only the one lad on that side and he had a doctor's note, every body else had managed to off load on the coach. I think we got to Wigan at about 2.00 am. Fantastic times, and the music at Wigan in those later years was superb.

Hi Dolb

Can you remember me Jenny from Chesterfield we lived in Scarborough for a bit and always got the Scarbourough coach with you and Nick and Tommy ect. We had some great times I knocked about with Tracey from Chesterfield and Denise from Newcastle.

I have loads of pics of us all and some of us on the coach on way to Wigan. I often wondered how you all are. If it is you get in touch via this web page for a catch up. Am still frequenting local soul nights.

Remember Sarah from Ottley and Coidy (think that was his name your mate)Remember coming home in some states from Casino Dolb ha ha.
