Guest eddiep Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 (edited) Hi all, Can anyone tell me why this label is different in colour and layout to the deep yellow one's with bright red APT / ABC logo I've always seen? Is it from a different pressing plant? 2nd pressing? Promo/ Demo / Boot ( )? Thanks in advance guys Eddie Edited August 5, 2011 by eddiep
Dave Pinch Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 think its just a different pressing plant.usually the ` you love` copies have that typeface and the `your love copies have the typical abc typeface.. i always thought that font never looked right myself not like any other 1972 abc distributed 45 i ever saw dave
Anoraks Corner Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 There are several presses for this superb track on both vinyl and styrene. Some copies state the '1972 ABC Records Inc.' above the logo, whilst others are below...or in this case around the bottom of the label. Then there are the 'You Love' copies, as pointed out by dave, which is possibly the hardest variant? A mighty tune whatever the label variant...shame the WDs don't feature this side.
