Denbo Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 I posted this up on a previous topic called 'PYE (Label of the week)' but got no response. So, seeings how it's been bugging for many years now, I thought I'd try and find out the answer, once and for all, via you guys here on Soul Source. "The Tiny Topsy "After Marriage Blues" in the top right hand corner was titled "How You Changed" on Argo in the USA. I realise the Argo copy was released first in the USA, so really, my comment should read that the Argo title was changed, for some unknown reason, to "After Marriage Blues" over here. Does anybody know why??? Been bugging me for nigh on 40 years!!!" So, any answers??? ipb.global.registerReputation( 'rep_post_1608042', { domLikeStripId: 'like_post_1608042', app: 'forums', type: 'pid', typeid: '1608042' }, parseInt('0') );
Prophonics 2029 Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 My copy is Working On My Baby and After Marriage Blues Argo 5383 WL not sure if its a Promo, personally I think its a typo! How You Changed is more After Marriage Blues where Work On My baby says it all for its self.
Prophonics 2029 Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Checked Popsike and my copy is not up with the other 2 demos seems to be several titles as well, one that drops AMB completely.

Are you telling me that your white label Argo copy of Tiny Topsy is; Working On Me Baby b/w After Marriage Blues Like on my UK released Pye International copy? I have never seen an Argo copy with 'After Marriage Blues' as the flip to 'Working On Me Baby'. That's a first. I've always thought that ALL Argo copies of Tiny Topsy were; Working On Me Baby b/w How You Changed I have a brown label issue and a white label 'Demo(?)' as per the above. All very interesting (seriously) BUT it doesn't answer my original question. Anybody else with an answer?
Prophonics 2029 Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Yes, quiet a simple Argo label with no lines. will scan it later on. I wondered about it cause the title means nothing really with the song but How You Changed fits with the song better.
Prophonics 2029 Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Out of interest its a Sheldon pressed disc.
Denbo Posted July 22, 2011 Author Posted July 22, 2011 Out of interest its a Sheldon pressed disc. Is it for sale?
Prophonics 2029 Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Its VG+ to VG++ play, a few light marks for such an old disc not bad really.
Prophonics 2029 Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Its a little bit like this one but this dose say where its made.
Prophonics 2029 Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Yes it is that's why I described it for you.
