I've been offered, and turned down £300, by two different people.

I have the red Tamboo label variant - there is also a blue label one but i think it's the same cut, just pressed at a different plant.

obvs there are a few on popsike, excellent sound!! Seems like a sound that would be more in demand now than ever Im guessing

How much would the Age version go for? By the way, the Age title is "Cut You A-Loose".

Age record is cheap, maybe $10-$15? It's really good R&B but it's not rare because it was a local hit.

That's interesting, because that's how much I've been offered for my copy on red Tamboo. Did you turn it down because you like the record and you don't want to sell it or because you think it's worth more?

A bit of both really.

Not ready to sell it at the minute.

And the blue Tam-boo is "Cut you lose".Suppose the red one is?

Karl Heard hammered this a number of years ago up north, and I think Paul Sadot, and its getting tons of attention from the funk scene and now the mod scene I believe. May have had tons of attention for ages btw, but thats my understanding of it :)

been 'known' for a good 10 years or so to funk guys joel, and of course back then it didnt demand anything like what its going for these days blink.png

A lot of them around back then?

you always think things are 'around' when they're cheap i guess kev, in reality there were probably only a handful of copies up for grabs at the time, more a case of being unknown...

Its been an "old hat" on the German R&B / Mod scene and had heavy plays up here middle to end of the nineties. Cool record but a bit over-hyped now ?

typical example of one mans oveplayed tune and another mans not heard out before, ive only recently heard this get played but then again i do live in the south of England aggressive.gif anyone got a copy on the "Age" label for sale as the other seems far too expensive and hard to find

Just in case you had not realised.......

Be careful the two different labels are two different styles of music, Age Label - very R&B and TamBoo label - very Funky.

i'll go along with that...got a certain ring to it :)

Old Shane Cox spin i think from way way back but never appeared to be a common 45. Had it on tape from him in 90's and every time I did see one...it had always gone!!

I got mine from a a mod collection where it had bought thinking it was another issue of the r&b one
