Was surprised that a vg copy with heavy surface noise ( sellers honest description ) went for £300, I know that when buying items that are 30-40 odd years old you can't always be picky, but I'm always put off if something doesn't play well, and have recently pulled out on bidding for some nice rare pieces because they weren't up to scratch. So how much for a mint minus copy of Glen Miller ?

I guess it all depends on who's on at a particular time, that was a crazy price for such a poor copy, I've had two copies off Ebay in the last year for under half that in much better shape. I'd say a mint minus one is the price that that one sold for to be honest.

:hatsoff2: Hi All ...If it dont play, photo copy the label and stick it on a FAB reissue? As a collection filler it's worth is £50 if the label is ok, However Doctor Bird, & Bluebeat records can be skimmed up and sound really quite good, so always check your treasures before paying big money? a skimmed record is just that skimmed? DAVE
