5) YVONNE VERNEE - IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME - SONBERT WHITE DEMO

6) LEFTY WRIGHT - I DON'T WANT NOBODY - BLUE STAR ISSUE

9) BITS N PIECES - KEEP ON RUNNING AWAY - NASCO DEMO

10) DEBBY DOBBINS - GLAD I FOUND YOU - SPIRIT (1981 release, seen it for $20 and $150!)

11) EJ & THE ECHOES - PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE - DIAMOND JIM WHITE DEMO

12) GENERAL ASSEMBLY - SENSITIVE MIND - DESIREE ISSUE (Wow this is beautiful, never seen one before)

13) KENNY GAMBLE - STANDING IN THE SHADOWS - EPIC DEMO

14) DIANE JENKINS - I NEED YOU - CREATIVE FUNK DEMO (I know it's not much on issue but not seen a demo)

15) SAMMY KING - YOUR OLD STAND BY - MARATHON

16) PAT LIVINGSTON - TAKE ME NOW OR LEAVE ME BE FOREVER / I NEED HELP - WILSTONE (Don't know which side)

I sold Lefty Wright for £80 recently , & listed Yvonne Vernee W/D @ £80 , Diane Jenkins Demo @ £40 ( neither sold ) , all pretty much M- & Yes , i'm pretty certain the Jobell Orch. has been booted on that format.

Great, thats a real help because Lefty Wright is listed at £250 in the last price guide, what a difference.

I thought maybe £75 for the Yvonne Vernee and same as you with Diane Jenkins although the B side is scratched so it'd be £25 - £30.

You're welcome Pete. That's why it sold @ £80 then , it's always been a pretty rare "45" imho , but tough to sell ( i personally like it , but it's not to everyones taste - bit like Johnny Daye on the same label ) . My "spare copy" had been hanging around for ages marked @ £125 , with no takers , & i thought when i reduced it that it'd fly out at its new price .

The kenny Gamble the last one I saw was £150 but it could have been issue, not sure if there is a difference either way as it is obscure. Used to play this one out in late 80's early 90's. I sold it for £75 years ago. Not sure of a current price to be honest as not really seen that many or been looking/taking much notice.

It's more like a popcorn record Chalky, don't you think? It's great. Was thinking a bit higher price like 100-125 for this one. Glad for the input though.

Re- Jobell Orchestra

All the copies that have the words 'Yukon Music' at the bottom of the left hand credits are re-issues

Cheers - reissue then, thought as much

Bits and pieces has been going for around a ton for a few years i think although I dont know if the demo is rarer or not Pete

Thanks Steve. Think demo may be a little harder. Used to sell this for £25 only 2, 3 years ago. SWONS

Sammy King is usually pretty expensive these days. Last one on popsike was 455 USD and that was over four years ago. Great early New Orleans soul.

Yeah I saw that Gareth, but that was all I had to go on so thought I'd best ask. Thats about £300 I reckon?

pat livingston and jimmy ricks must be £150 each. willie tee £125. debbie dobbins £40 maybe

dave

See this is the problem with using price guides, Jimmy Ricks is £300 and Willie Tee was £250 I think.

Think Willie Tee is worth that, can't stand the Jimmy Ricks myself.

300 quid for a mint-ish copy I think sounds about right. The other side is possibly more 'Northern' sounding now. Jimmy Ricks is quite tough on an issue in that format too. Don't know if people would be prepared to pay extra for that though.

Gloria Scott Australian 7" was around £200 when it was regularly filling dancefloors. Has never shown up in quantity, and while it's not featuring as often on DJ playlists, I would have thought it's scarcity would keep it at £200 as a minimum.

I sold a M- copy last year for £350 (give or take a few quid). Great double sider and one you rarely see for sale.

Sure I saw a Pat Brown go for about £135 on ebay a few weeks ago but know people who have pay £200 for a M copy, most I have seen are pressed off centre.

Jimmy Ricks £175 - £250 good and bad days.

Thanks for the info, this one is visually vg++ plays EX, not offcentre, had two people ask after it already so might be quite an interesting one. I think I'm going to do these alphabetically though so that will probably be on next weeks list, not this weeks. IF I actually do a list of course...

Thanks Adam, it is a cracking record I agree. Great copy this one with slight label stain.

need the Pat Brown for my Eddie Bo collection, will try to remember to keep an eye on things next week

I dunno Kris, I've now had 4 people ask for it so it might not make it to the list at this rate!

I think for the Gloria Scott sell it on E-Bay, its the Ruby Andrews of the 70's world, and it ends most big nights with a big sing along, also massive in Europe still so I think you would get much more elsewhere, unless they are sensible enough not to worry about LP or 7".......

£350 - £400 I would reckon Pete, but less to shift quickly.
