Guest Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 really enjoying the top five crossover tracks thread thats going on at the mo, anyone care to suggest their top five funky or psychodelic soul tracks........ cheers
Guest RichEvans Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Pretty garagey but a fave of mine - 'Joy & The Hit Kids' - Feelin' also released in the Uk as 'Joy Unlimited' I think. Mint vocals!
boba Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 symphonic four - who do you think you're fooling dynamic tints - rosemarie
Mister Fish Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 These ones probably fit a few categories but have a psych edge' John Fitch & Associaites - Romantic Attitude - Beacon Green Berets - Just an ugly rumour - UNI Ghetto Friendship - Build it up tear it down - Ghetto South Shore Commission - Shadows - Nickel Ordells - sippin' a cup of coffee - Dionn
boba Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 that green berets record is sick. it's so good and I had the record for years before I finally "got" that side when people started playing it. that ghetto friendship record is too weird for me with all the tempo changes.
boba Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 thought of another one: Deceptions - You're going to run to me - Peace crazy fuzz guitar on it. also love their version of "of all the hearts". also curtis liggins indications - what it is also that dynamic desires on Mel
Mister Fish Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Love the Ghetto Friendship tempo changes and all. Green Berets is special.. Hey, Bob, That Deceptions is interesting, kinda garagey.. I recently got a Dynamic Desires but was so warped it's unplayable.. Steve

I recently got a Dynamic Desires but was so warped it's unplayable.. Steve have you tried to get the desires flattened? i had a kings of soul that was unplayable due to a large warp, got it flattened by someone who does it manually in an oven and it turned out okay... but some other ones he did for me didn't so it's a coin toss. some people actually have record flattening machines and will flatten a record for a fee (maybe like $25 or something?), you could try it
