Played in Burnley (amongst other places), in the mid 70s for a few months. Hasn't aged too well though in my opinion. :)

Agree, terrible version.

But on the subject of Madeline Bell, her Philips singles are all brilliant, not that many people know she did a great version of "Don't come running to me", then there's the aformentioned "Picture me gone" and a really fantastic version of "I can't wait to see my baby's face" which uses the same backing track as Dusty's LP version.

Quite often give that a spin meself Pete, stunning version of a great song for not a lot of money .

Sounds like a Win/Win to me.
