Marc Forrest Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 all info ...value? played anywhere ? ......opinions etc ................appreciated, thanks ezzie fabulous 45 by one of my fave artists. around 200 nowadays, used to fetch more when rotated by a few dj`s. top DEEP side on the flip. One of the best Gaye releases IMHO. If you dig DEEP a look out for his awesome (a-w-e-s-o-m-e) Deep 45 on Fairlane is also very much worth the effort. Both Atlanta labels of course although all Fairlane records were pressed at KING records, Ohio. Marc
Guest millsmod Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Paid £150 a couple of months back...first heard it on a Friday street cd from a couple of years ago...crackin tune....
Ezzie Brown Posted July 6, 2011 Author Posted July 6, 2011 ok ta.............got a battered one a cupla years back and never asked about it , plays ok but looks awful. bit like me .regards ez
Pomonkey Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 He does still play live occasionally down in Georgia, would love to see him do this on stage! Good 45 indeed, have one in the playbox here too, but not a patch in rarity compared to the Mondels on Gaye (hyper garage 2 sider, not soul, stupidly tough to find), rarest soul on the label is prob the Shepard Brothers, have only ever had that once
Marc Forrest Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 rarest soul on the label is prob the Shepard Brothers, have only ever had that once thought so too for a while, but no, already saw three passing thru ebay well under 200 USD this year alone,
MrsWoodsrules Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 George Hughley's Thats Why I Cry on Buddah is a tune & a half, pure class IMO.
KevH Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 "Do the beatle" is a Russ Holley spin from a couple of years ago (ex DKOF,and more recently Club Caliente.)
davidwapples Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 russoul - russ holley used to play this at club caliente and city club , i think now he has sold his copy on
