As far as I remember this red issue with the instrumental side given it's full title is the very first press.

If you have the THREE different colours at the same time can you check out the deadwax matrix on them all. and see if they are identical - I've always been suspicious of the later Yellow and light blue copies but forgot to document. I have the Yellow and light blue in stock at te mo' just need the details on the RED first press. Much appreciated, as the source at the time was somewhat notorious for a repro or two.

What was the time span between the l.h.m.a. release & the Calla release , it didnt seem that long at the time (under 6 months) ? Also has anyone seen an lhma demo ?

Why suspicious John, a friend of mine in New York remembers this as a new release there. He told me it was a big tune on the East Coast disco scene and was available in a fair few stores around the city. Could well have been pressed a few times within a few weeks of each other, if it was selling that well. Small label owners often pressed in smaller runs, based on demand, simply because they didn't have the money to do a big run or weren't prepared to until they knew they had success.

So where does the Yellow labeled pt1&2 come in. I would guess after the runs of Red & Blue and just before they licensed it to Calla for national distribution.

PS, I've also picked blue copies a few times in the states as well as red ones in old distributors, so if it was repro, it would have to been somelse at the label doing it, via the backdoor. Otherwise the wouldn't have been able to sell into the distributor accounts.
