Just found this for today Sunday on the Community Channel 585 Sky 511 NTL, Soul of Stax 12.05 - 13.20 [Highlighting the pure sound of soul music which was used as a manifestation of Black-American politics in the 1960s & 1970s ] There seems to be a lot of these things on this Channel lateley this one is Black Tracks & last night it was Funky Black Shorts, a short film called The American Mod set in the Mod Scene in New York, & a fascinating program about this Old Boy [white] known as DJ Dereck who collects & plays Black Music.... Jon Buck This was shown on Friday as well I stumbled upon it the same as you very interesting documentry on Stax .I liked the footage of Rufus thomas and the crowd doing the "Funky Chicken" dont forget to tape it.
