Gene-r Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 (edited) Hi Kriss, Welcome to the site. As a collector of most other things (not just soul), I can advise you on this. Pity your stereo copy of Rubber Soul doesn't have a sleeve, and is only G to VG condition. With a sleeve, you're probably looking at about £70+ for a minter, but since the sleeve really gives it its value (irrespective of it being a Mono or Stereo issue), it's not worth anything - there are far too many copies around in less than average condition, and a collector's going to want the LP in its original sleeve. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but best to be honest than have your hopes falsely built up! Gene Edited June 21, 2011 by Gene-R

The Beatles albums sold millions of copies but the ones that command the money are the pristine ones, they really do have to be mint. Sorry. Edited June 21, 2011 by Pete S

Guest julesp1905 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 I was lucky to find a mint unplayed one a couple of years ago at a boot fair, got a very good price for it Much more than the £70 quoted earlier, treble it at least, Stereo was still limited in 1965, your matrix -2 highlights a 1st stereo pressing, however as said, you need good clean copies to achieve decent money, this is a totally different collectors market to that of soul records, buyers want good examples, which in 99% of cases are never played once purchased, more stamp collectors than music lovers
