Guest Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 NEXT UNION SOUL NIGHT AT THE TBI TRENT BRIDGE NOTTM FRIDAY 4TH NOV IS UNION SOUL NIGHTS 4TH ANNIVERSARY A very special night as this will be the last one. I would like to thank everyone who has supported us in the last four years espically all the resident djs past and present from the late Derek Allen, the retired Rob Thomas, Andy Riley, Mick Boyle and Bish. There might be a chance of Union Soul Night once every three months, hopefully on the 1st Saturday but we will have to wait and see due to confirmed dates at the venue. This last one will be a packed house so I would advise to get there early. Djs on the night BUTCH ANDY DYSON DEAN ANDERSON + Residents MICK and ANDY BISH Look forward to seeing you all for this final farewell and no doubt some of the records that were first broke at the Union, such as Joe Jammer, Passions, Robert Tanner to just name a few, will get their final spin. Guest in town Mikey Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 This is the third 'last night' mentioned on here this week. Thats really sad, on a frivolous note its taking the retro thing a bit far. Its all so 1985. Seriously tho its very saddening to hear of established venues closing. I hope the last night is one to remember.
Nickg Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 Any reasons behind the decision ? Run it's course ? Lack of people ? Problems with the venue ? I'd only been a few times, once at the TBI and found it an excellent night Thanks Nick
Chalky Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 damn shame.....probably the best soul night going musically only half hour down the road too
