Guest ritchie Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 From just the mono side? I'm watching one of these on ebay and have pm'd the dealer to get back and let me know what's on the flip (stereo version I hope) he hasn't yet and there's only a couple of hours to go The scan just shows the mono side and I think I'm right in saying the boots were mono on both sides and look very much like the originals.... Thank's for any advice
Guest brianw70 Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 youre right about the mono / stereo thing . originals have stereo on them
Mick Holdsworth Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Basically Richie, you have nailed it on the head - wait for the seller to let you know. Cheers Mick

Benji Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 whats the going rate nowadays? 100ish for an original.
Pete S Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 100ish for an original. Oops no wonder I'm not rich, I sell it for 40/50 quid - though if I had an issue I'd definitely want 100
Guest ritchie Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Usually goes for £40 ish... Went for £70... Seller pm'd me a little late in the day and could throw no light on the matter although I'm sure now it's a good-un.......would have stopped at £50 anyway. A tune I loved back in the day and no doubt will get the opportunity to own it again as it don't seem that popular now days. Can't stop singing the bloody thing either so the sooner I get it the better for all concerned.
Mister Fish Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 One of the all-time great 70's and worth every penny of £70. I believe the recent Issue copy on Ebay went for double though.

[/quote Obviously not one for the chin rubbers though...... I really hope all the great 70's tunes played at the Mecca, Cleggy & other forward thinking venues have their day again....... Not for the rarity value but because they are bloody good dancers.....not something your average chin rubber cares about though

bri pinch Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 (edited) YEAH, SAW THAT ISSUE LAST WEEK WENT FOR 185 QUID https://www.youtube.com/user/davepinch1#p/search/20/C65pmDLyPBE STRANGE HOW THE ORIGINAL ISSUE STATES THE YEAR AS BEING 1973, WHEREAS THE ORIGINAL DEMO STATES IT'S 1974 BRI PINCH Edited June 14, 2011 by bri pinch

Ian D Ian, always had this in my collection, loved it from when it was first played. I like loads of records from this period, High Voltage, Lou Edwards sort of stuff. Got a Mandrill on Arista for sale actually.
