STILL GETTING TOO MANY RECORDS NOT BEING PAID FOR AFTER RESERVING **** A BROTHER’S GUIDING LIGHT – GETTING TOGETHER – MERCURY DEMO EX+ 75 Mono / stereo demo, lovely copy THE ARTISTICS – THIS HEART OF MINE – OKEH EX- 40 Bit of ring wear on the raised part of the label and tiny noise at the start, it’s fine though, bargain DARRELL BANKS – I’M THE ONE WHO LOVES YOU – VOLT EX+ 75 SOLD This one is a bit of an oddball, the B side is as normal, but the A side is just a blank Volt label, the proper blue design, but with nothing on it apart from the title which is handwritten – not sure if it’s a test press? JOE BUCKMAN – TIL THE END OF TIME – SEPIA EX 30 Cracking Detroit dancer. The B side of this is noisy, don’t buy it for that side. CHOCOLATE SYRUP – YOU’RE OFF AND RUNNING – IRA EX 75 Rare 70’s crossover dancer THE GIRLS – THE HURT’S STILL HERE – MEMPHIS EX+ 50 Nice crossover dancer THE GAMBRELLS – JIVE TALK – PIONEER EX 40 SOLD One time mega money Detroit dancer EDWARD HAMILTON – MY DARLING BABY – MARY JANE EX+ 25 SOLD Good underrated dmidtempo dancer BIG DEE IRWIN – YOU SATISFY MY NEEDS – ROTATE DEMO EX 100 Nice, vinyl copy, has a little writing on the label “no good” LOL, I’m sure I sold this actual copy about 5 years ago. THERESA LINDSEY – IT’S LOVE – CORRECT TONE EX- 75 Couple of light pops otherwise fine, this is one of my all time favourite Detroit tracks, brilliant EMANUEL LASKEY – DON’T LEAD ME ON BABY – THELMA EX+ 100 This is the more powerful 2nd mix, not the withdrawn one ALEXANDER PATTEN – A LIL LOVIN’ SOMETIMES – CANADIAN CAPITOL EX 150 SOLD Blimey, how rare is this? Looks just like the USA one to be honest but..it’s Canadian CLYDE McPHATTER – LONELY PEOPLE CAN AFFORD TO CRY – AMY DEMO M 75 SOLD This one never turns up nowadays, and what about that condition…never seen a better one THE ROYAL PREMIERS – I CAN MAKE IT IF I TRY – MBS EX+ 40 A real forgotten gem THE STAR-TREKS – GONNA NEED MAGIC – VEEP DEMO EX 80 Tiny swoosh just after the start, otherwise pretty much perfect, small sticker stain on label THE SOUL TWINS – QUICK CHANGE ARTIST – KAREN DEMO VG 50 Looks well rough, plays strongly, some background noise first 30 seconds or so, heard much worse..also a bit of ring wear and initials on label. If it sounds like a nail, it’s not, just don’t expect a minter LOL THE VELLS – THERE HE IS (AT MY DOOR) – MEL-O-DY DEMO EX 40 Very nice early Motown on a rare white demo, number on label SCOTTY WILLIAMS – FEAR – MONA LEE DEMO M- 100 Near pristine copy And a very obscure one for you UK collectors THE FIVE COUNTS – WATERMELON WALK – ORIOLE EX 50 This is what they’re now calling a ‘tittyshaker’ what a daft expression, it’s a sleazy sax inst, popcorn style, great stuff, never laid eyes on a copy before.. SORRY BUT SPECIAL DELIVERY ONLY ON ITEMS OVER £40 PAYMENT BY PAYPAL ONLY PLEASE, IF YOU CAN’T DO THIS GIVE ME A RING AND WE’LL HAVE A CHAT. OVERSEAS I’LL QUOTE YOU POSTAGE BUT YOU’RE LOOKING AT £7.50 FOR AIRSURE / INTERNATIONAL SIGNED FOR CHEERS PETE Edited June 9, 2011 by Pete S
