Guest Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 (edited) There's an old thread about this, but I am not sure where to find it. However, I remember that someone had a picture of MIss Madeline, and of course, I was quick to snatch that ;-) She was in a group called the Baby Miracles, which performed covers of Miracles tunes. boba Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 that was the photo and info I posted. The Baby Miracles and Young Folk are the same group. The previous lead of the baby miracles (Marilyn McThune) became the lead singer of the Ivorys after she had a growth spurt and no longer looked like a little kid, Madeline replaced her.
Ady Pountain Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 And going by the voice and nothing else I've always thought she is also Little Madeline on Blue Soul and Madeline of Madeline & Monticellos on De-Vel, both great records! There again I could be completely wrong!!
Pete S Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Been saying this for 20 years but "Lonely Girl" is surely the best 'cheapie' Northern record out there - utterly brilliant and if a record can SOUND like it's worth thousands of dollars, it's this.
