dthedrug Posted May 28, 2011 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Strange really, when we all went there it was just having the crack,living for the moment etc, who would have thought that all these years later that it would be so celebrated or even famous At the time i thought with my(and many others) lifestyle that 25 years old would be a milestone got that twice and a few more behind me now met many people and made many friends because of this strange music of ours there must be hundreds more photos hiding all over the country(world) i know there are loads in Gloucestershire! look forward to the next batch from anyone Steve HI ALL very enjoyable lot's of faces, i wish i could show a few that i had / took i have only 3 bad ones left, as someone broke in my house 1982 and for some strange reason stole 2 photo albums, I am aways sad that out of 100% of photos taken, only 2% are in the downstairs bar area, as such many collectors who were not DJs arnt photographed, i would like to see some if anybody has anyDAVE Link to comment Social source share More sharing options...

Hi Barry, it was Stevie Smith, the whole thing seems to be dedicated to him as he sadly passed away a few years back. One ot those people who deserved a mention in the characters thread that was running a while back. Some great pics in there, most seem from the 80/81 period as recognise a lot of the faces. His friends have done a lovely job, I wondered what the epitaph at the end was for, it was very moving. And we went back to a more mod/skinhead style,which is the style I prefer I did wear the baggies from about 74 first the high wast bands then the single belt wast with pleats they were ok for the acrobatic style of dancing I did back then but. Janice thorpe took me to my first allnighter at wigan, about 3 months before it closed, remember afternoons at my mums house in leigh,janice teaching me how to dance "northern", i was pretty crap but janice was the best female dancer i,ve ever seen, that girl could stomp i tell ya.. People i know in it are. 3:26 brian latham/steve/mike green(warrington) 3:47 girl in jacket is caroline cooper from bolton and i think the lads nickname was snowy? You've just jogged my memory circa 79 whilst going to work on the 5.30am bus fell to sleep with a lit cigarette in my hand dropped the thing on my trousers which were a pair of "bottle green baggies" and melted a masive hole in them and my leg!!
