That was a while ago. I doubt it will fetch anywhere near what Keb paid for his old copy. There have been a 'few' copies surface since Keb paid up for it. My guess is $3000 tops, more likely under $2500.

It'll be interesting though.

We call that reverse snobbery where I'm from. You'd buy it and play it if it was $100, but if it is rare and goes for money it becomes 'hudson people'. :fool:

Regardless of what Keb paid for it, it's now on the 'open market' so it's highest bidder gets it...mind you, the privately sold/traded ones were down to who paid highest of course, but this is more visible so it'll be fascinating to see what it fetches.

I actually think it's fantastic, and if I wasn't poor, my hat would certainly be in the ring.

referring to Craig? dont be silly! empty bidders usually turn serious bidders away from my experience... bad sign for the auction

Does'nt look like we will see a proper auction of this, would of been interesting.

Oh hang on, why? I'll never own a copy. I think that and the Hudson People are cracking records.

3.560 in the end with a different high bidder every two seconds or so during the last couple of seconds...really a very nice tune. Just heard it out again last saturday in Hamburg whistling.gif

The flip is a wicked stepper.
