Hi Lin Blimey, what a list of tunes played .. no wonder we all loved it so much and had very sore legs for days afterwards
Dave Rimmer Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 I see you played this on that night,,,,,,,,,,Don Gardner - My Baby Likes To Boogaloo - Tru-Glo-Town I only heard it for the first time last year Albrighton, in it's day, was in my opinion, the top Soul night / allnighter in the country for hearing new sounds. There were loads of things that were played there that went on to become massive all over the country. The allnighter playlist is what was played at the niter, but the Soul nights were even better sometimes. The company was also brilliant. I still go to venues now in the Midlands and hear people refer to 'loads of the old Albrighton crowd in tonight'. Shame it's gone, but I believe that venues have a 'lifespan', and once the end of that lifespan is reached it's time to move on and not try to resurrect it.
Mike Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 just split this into two topics as made sense to mike
