Wilxy Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Don't think so Kev ....according to my information....courtesy of the Detroit Soul index...ala Keith Rylatt, which lists American-Arts,Astra,Chex,Impact,Inferno,Karen, Old Town, and Twirl....Best wilxy
Premium Stuff Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 (edited) Don't think so either Kev Garu was out of San Antonio Wasn't there an article on the Volumes/Magnetics as a front page article on here last year with all the info on the Detroit group? Cheers Richard Edited May 1, 2011 by Premium Stuff
Nick Soule Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 The group on Garu is a local San Antonio chicano soul group.

Dave Pinch Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 PRETTY MUCH SO CHALKS..............LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVE TRIED TO TELL ME DIFFERENT OVER THE YEARS BUT YOUR THEORY IS THE SAME AS MINE DAVE
Prophonics 2029 Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 (edited) Bob-A did a great interview with the Sable Magnetics (Sitting In The Park)? where John Lee and Andrew Griffin the other singer (who sang Count The Days and when I'm With My Baby) were interviewed for an hour. Lee sings CTD backed by Andrew. Edited May 2, 2011 by Prophonics 2029

I don't think the lead on the Volumes 45 on Karen was Gerald - it was a different guy - Eddie Union maybe? Weren't the Chicago Magnetics on Sable etc a different group?
