Guest Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 (edited) Hi folks Oscar Wright - Fell In Love / Leave me alone on Hemisphere Anyone have an approximated price / value on this please? John Manship has one listed at £150 which does seem a trifle steep... Cheers in advance, Miles Edited October 11, 2005 by Miles

Cheers in advance, Miles Doesn't show too often on Hemisphere, but was also released on Fairmount (again, not too easy to find), but it isn't widely known and I've seen a few Fairmount copies go on Ebay for £30 - £50 so it might be worth holding out until a Hemisphere copy comes along (I'd have though you'd pick it up for quite bit less than £100). Great record Edited October 11, 2005 by uroffal
Guest Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 (edited) Cheers. I actually have a Hemisphere copy that I was toying with selling, but there was a thread in the sales / wants forum a number of weeks ago and someone offered a Hemisphere copy for sale at £100 and was then accused off trying to rip people off. I bought mine eons ago and so wondered what the going rate was nowadays. There seems to have been a bit of confusion, maybe the hecklers were getting confused with the price of the Fairmount demo! Thanks for the info! Edited October 11, 2005 by Miles

Great record I have always been lead to believe it was the other way around. My copy came from a friend who has both but wanted to keep the fairmount one because, as he told me, it was rarer. I have also seen both for around £80.

Both copies have been seen for around £80 and worth every penny. This is one record that I would never sell. Edited October 11, 2005 by noss
Guest Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Aaaaaagh! Just played it again for about the 50th time this week. Leave me alone is the one out of the two sides I reckon. One minute it sounds wonderful, but the next it just sounds like an noisy old racket !! Been listening to modern for too long I guess. Could well be OV Wright though....

Yes, I've heard this mentioned before a number of times and I don't think there is much in it in terms of rarity - the Hemisphere usually commands a slightly higher price probably due it being the first (local) issue.

I have a Hemisphere copy, was under the impression it's worth slightly more than Fairmount, but I wouldn't sell it anyway, it's one of my all time favourites. I even love the bit at the end where the horns go completely awry!!! It's FABULOUS!!
