DeltaSouth Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 (edited) Hello. Been a long time. I came across this record recently and thought someone might be interested. VG- The record does NOT skip, but there is noticible mild noise. Scans are nice but the don't really show enough... however, if you invert the image in photoshop to a "negative", it reveals flaws. As you can cleary see there are hairlines. If someone is interested in the record I can scan the other side and provide similar imagery. I've played both sides of this 45 multiple times on my technics 1700mk and there are no skips. There is mild noise from the hairlines but it isn't an over powering tick or click when they do occur... but they DO occur. Just sayin' There is still a mild luster to the vinyl but there are multiple hairlines. The negative above clearly reveals the worst. There are more that aren't visible in the scan but they're extremely tiny hairlines. I would like to add that the "light scuffs" that are clearly visible in the negative are not deep gouges but just scuffs that do not cause a skip. As you can clearly see the original owner liked to sticker up his labels and write his name all over them. The grading system I use is as follows: NM the record shown above CLEARLY ain't near mint. next. VG+ this record might be called vg+ by a newbie, but i can't in good conscience utilize vg+ grade for the above record... but i'm sure there are folks who would. VG again, this is likely what many people would call the above record... and they'd be close. VG- a playable record that doesn't skip with some mild but noticible noise. the record above is VG- using the Goldmine Standard. I hope i've provided enough info for any potential buyer but if you would like more details get in touch. I don't have the equipment to make sound files. Sorry. I'm asking US $25 plus shipping if you want it... (I live a bit West of New Orleans, LA USA) I come across her records occasionally... but not this release... couldn't believe it when I saw it. (first one i'd ever seen and i have grey hair) Barbara Lynn is awesome. I saw her live decades ago. Best, Vic vinydisc@gmail.com Sorry I don't use ePray or Paypal. If you'd like a look at the kind of stuff i've sold and feedback visit this web site. April 16 was Record Store Day. Happy Record Store Day! Edited April 18, 2011 by vinyldisc
