Pete S Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 How can you determine the boot for FREDDIE CHAVEZ - THEY'LL NEVER KNOW WHY. The one I have is styrene, any help would be appreciated - cheers That's the way - boot is styrene - though there was a vinyl one on a plain blue label before the lookalike
dthedrug Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Hi All I sold my one and only original copy in 1957, for what I considered to be a amazing amount of £30. as Pete says the counterfeit copy's are styrene, the original is vinyl, there is something about the original that even Theo the labels look the same, your 6th sence automatically tells you the vinyl is the real one, if you follow my logic, one of the great Northern SOUL tacks of all time, that's a fact, what's it go for these days??/:thumbsup: Dave

Striker Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 I know this topic is mostly covered here and in the link to post above, the only new piece of information to add is the lookalike styrene boot, is white, red or rare lime green - not sure if any other colours - styrene with Monarch delta number MR 101310 - X which if a real US monarch press would date it at a 1974 release.
