purist Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Not sure when it would have been, maybe 10 years back (?) when this blew up with the dance floor and we were hearing it everywhere, but even back then I never knew whether folk reckoned there was any difference between the two releases? Obviously they had different flipsides, but is one any more desirable than the other ? does one sell for more ? which is the rarest format ? Am I right in presuming there's issues and demo's for both numbers ? Pressed from the same masters ? Anybody know why they issued it again so close to the first release ? ( gw 38 I've seen listed as June 1966 release, with gw 44 as an October release ) Always thought C.O.D. was a great track btw
redcoupe Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 big time fun was the other side of gw38,maybe theyd run out of songs for the gw44 flip, sorry cant be of any more help.i need a gw38 stock if anyones selling ,,,
steve Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Only the GW44, with C.O.D on the flip side, two fantastic tracks
Dave Pinch Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 not much difference in value £20/25 with the white demo being a fiver more. issued as the `A` side originally and ten a few months later used as a flip.probably to keep costs down on recording time maybe dave
