Cheers for that Jim.

Documentary was excellent, loads of rare footage & a few revelations.

Good shout. I owe you.

Cant answer that.

I'm just a soul music lover. But I can tell you I was sitting on the edge of my seat, jaw wide open. It was awesome.

Hate to admit it, but sometimes the BBC just hit spot on. They really put some effort into that documentary.

Trevor Nelson, please take note.

Was quite good I thought. Learnt a few things I didn't know about Marv, namely his real surname was Gay, not Gaye. His brother Frankie did actually serve in Vietnam and also his dad Marvin Snr (despite being a preacher) wore ladies underwear ...

All round not bad I thought. Followed a half hour sounds of the sixties programme which was not bad either.

If you enjoyed tht get the DVD Soul Searching, its a pretty low dudget but charming docu on Marvin in Belgium, alot of the footage was taken from it.

Its kinda sad cuase he seems pretty lost but its essential viewing.

Got a great scene of Marvin with his band just jamming a slap bass heavy version of I Want You. Marv's chilling on the couch throughout.
