Does anybody know of a web site that gives (FREE !!) a complete U.S. Motown & all it's other labels track listings??

Thought this would be a simple one to search for myself but hey diddle diddle it's not so easy to source as i first thought it would be

have you had a look to see if the publication "OFF THE RECORD " is still in print?, its by richard j. bartlette with subtitle : motown by master number 1959 - 1989. it covers all the companies subsidiaries and other detroit labels of note ( when i say note, i mean the one's everybody recoginizes )

Off the record is by REGINALD J Bartlette and is probably the most definitive book on the actual recording details of Berry Gordy's empire but can be hard work due to the layout.

A couple more books that give good discographies are:

Motown - The History. Sharon Davis inc. LPs

The Motown Story - Don Waller

These 2 above are not definitive about the recordings but do provide adiscography of all Gordy's actual releases.

Didn't someone like BeeCool do a reprint of "Off The record" a while back, was about £50.

best website I've used for Motown is "Don't Forget The Motor City".
