HI, SORRY PICTURES HAVEN'T SHOWN UP FOR SOME REASON,

I'LL TRY AND PUT THEM IN ON FRIDAY,

JOE.

Minits

Still A Part Of Me C/w Lover Boy

Nobody Knows

When Mr. Wiggles though his product could do well from the distribution of Came - Parkway, he wisely upped the production by adding a bevvy of ladies to echo the chorus. It may have transformed any already mighty Richmond, Virginia indie into a possible hit, but sadly it fared no better on sales than it's girl-void first press did. For the Northern Soul collector and dancers though, it gave them a real meaty piece of Soul to strive to own. Click the soundfile and treat yourself to a special piece of our music!

Do Like I Do C/w Finders Keepers Loser Weepers

This 45 never achieved commercial release. Upon Motown's 20th anniversary EMI issued a box set of 20 singles covering 40 classic titles. Wisely they also added a "bonus" of two previously unissued "from the vaults" recordings that have since gained highly prized status. As yet neither side has reached the predicted heights of popularity, mainly due to lack of exposure. The soundfile and label scan is there for all to appreciate, not one but two totally awesome Northern Soul style Motown dancers. This example today is NOT the bonus 45 from the box set, but a DEMO copy in PERFECT as new condition. It will, we are sure in the very near future burst forth at a club near you, to become a long-overdue "monster" which ever side you drop the stylus on.

Can It Be Me C/w Jet Set

From those Golden days of the "Torch" "Va Va's" "Up The Junction" "Highland Room" etc comes this timeless Northern Soul Anthem! That was back in 1972 / 73 when this rattled those rafters of the scene's best-loved clubs. So 38 years after those halcyon times, what are to chances of owning an UNPLAYED MINT copy! Yes MINT unplayed...still sitting in the sleeve it was born it. This copy is so perfect the fine layer dust speck actually smell of Los Angeles, or am I getting carried away? Condition, Condition, Condition!!!.

Just Say You're Wanted (and Needed) C/w Still True To You

NORTHERN SOUL 45s don't come much-more important than this example. View the neat clean label, but more importantly listen to the FULL sound-file of BOTH sides. This example does NOT skip on the two decks we have played it on. Sound on the a-side has some light distortion on a couple of moments. Please listen carefully before bidding. You are looking at and listening to the very disc we are selling. It may be your only chance to own this monster of a disc.

No. 1 In Your Heart C/w Crusin'

Very few records have the power to spark that "must own" gasp, a compulsion we all dread feeling. Just glance, then listen, you are now witnessing the very essence of the Brit Soul scene of the mid-60s, in it's rarest form too. Gorgeously irresistible.

Sadness And Madness

An Al Johnson and Monk Higgins Chicago collaboration offering upbeat vocal-group NS heaven. A "Monk" production never fails to deliver soul-with-an-edge! This rarity is no exception, upbeat feel-good dancer in classic back-drop style we all grew up with. The outstanding feature of this offering is the blinding condition! It was inspected to the finest detail as I personally couldn't believe it's flawless state. In the end we did discover whilst turning it in the light a minuscule sleeve contact blemish that took it a hare's breathed from that coveted totally MINT grading. There's will not be a finer copy any where in the world today.. glorious Northern Soul in glorious condition.

What About Me

Absolutely as obscure as a soul record can possibly get. Most of you viewing this offering, it will be the first time you've seen it. So have yourself a treat, spy this arty-attractive Nashville street-level label, then await the highly impressive sound-file that reveals a seamless Northern Soul dancer of the highest quality. Some tune this is, with a rarity pedigree right up there with the very-most-elusive of platters.

Pass Me By C/w Pictures Don't Lie

Condition could not be any finer and this is one of THE very rarest 45s this legendary label ever gave the NS collector to chase. Few can boast ownership of this classy luscious Philadelphia smooth-as-silk girl vocal Northern Soul double hitter. Wrote and produced by the multi-gifted Thom Bell, the topside offers a mid-tempo journey that high calibre DJ's like Carl Willingham have championed in the past, the flipside is more of the same style this time coming from the pen of Freddie Perren. Two great writers working with a doesn't seem to have released another 45. Shame she sings like an Angel.

The Bigger Your Heart C/w If I Were An Orange

A double helping of Northern Soul, crafted by one of Philly's most prolific of sons. Morris Bailey wrote, arranged and produced this record that been sitting on the back-burner of only the most-comprehensive of rare-soul collections. A rarity when mentioned incites knowledgeable enthusiastic comments of "you don't ever see that for sale" or the more boastful vinyl-head will respond with a "I'll dig my copy out and play it" well it's time someDJ dug it out and played it! Another glaring case of a fine tune, being held back by it's own unavailability. Two sides that just bristle with potential for a much bigger ticket!

I Bet You C/w Love Hangover

The rarest version by far of this great Northern Soul sound covered so ably by Theresa Lindsey, Billy Butler and later Funkadelic. A fine Sidney Barnes, George Clinton & Theresa LIndsey composition dealt a pinch of quality by "Sax God" Mike Terry arrangement. A record in very good company, a Detroit rarity that for decades we feel has been totally under-valued considered it'sC.V. and qualified rarity.

Get It Baby C/w Quit Twistin' My Arm

This weeks classic Northern Soul rarity needs no introduction, blurb or hype from me. The genius of Richard Popcorn Wylie exploding from every note speak s far more than I ever could. Has anyone ever heard this record played without encountering a stampede to the dancefloor. It is certainly Northern Soul at it very most-potent and in this format...darn elusive too.

Rideout

Spend Some Time With Me

A relentless piece of 80s dance-sol from Len Rideout and gang that carries a hugely elusive rarity pedigree, so expect competition if you wanna swim with the big boys. Consider this, the 3 DJ's that have been dropping the stylus on this title for the last 18 months are Soul Sam, Butch & Mick H. We could not name-drop 3 more qualified NS jocks to rubber-stamp the importance of records of this ilk being in your rare-set.

Only Your Love Can Save Me

Now here's a 45 that you just don't come across very often, and the condition is gleaming, other than a couple of paper-contact scuffs from the sleeve this is in "like new" nick. A 1966 Arthur Greenslade "Brit" interpretation of the Valerie Simpson, Nick Ashford & Joshie Jo Armstead composition that Bettye Lavette ripped in to. A superb rendition and one that many a life-long UK soul collector still has missing from his collection.
