Hello, I work at Gold Radio and we're currently hosting a competition ,Gold's Greatest Hits, to find the 300 best songs of all time - and since we're all huge soul fans here at the station, we'd love to know what fans of the music think!

What are your favourite songs from the soul back catalogue? My vote's going to 'What's Going On' and pretty much anything Stevie Wonder released in the early seventies - cheating, I know, but it's a tricky business is this.

Two or more songs tie with the same number of points, the number of first, second and third choice votes will be taken to decide the final chart positions.

So if, say, ten people give a song 3 points and 30 people give another song 1 point, does the first one win because 10 people really like it, or does the second one win because more people like it?

I've always wanted to know that...
