CRESSA WATSON - SWEET TEMPTATION - CASCADE

(100 club 7 in the morning ....PERFECTION  )

Ady once asked me what was the record playing at the 100 Club, at the time I thought it was this version. (Turns out it wasn't this version, but that's another story). I thought it was quite funny because Cascade is a subsiduary company of Ace.

Great idea...........only time I saw this was at Cheltenham about a month

ago when modern Meg played 18 of her 20 tunes off LP and it was

so refreshing to hear new sounds that were probably known to a few but new to me.

Why restrict what you like or might like to 45's only.............theres so much good stuff

but then this theme has probably been done before anyway...........

Fave LP track right now "Don't Bring Back Memories" 4 Tops (but you need to speed it up

a bit to get the sound right............

basically I think there can be absolutely no reason why a dj shouldn't play LP's, why should you care if it comes from an LP or a 45, as long as it is original vinyl

many of my choices already have been mentioned, but aren't the following worth being included?:

David Ruffin- Questions from his "In my stride" album on Motown

Jerry Butler & Brenda Lee Eager - Ever since I can remember "the love we had" Mercury

Barbara Mc Nair- It happems every time "the real" Motown

the O'jays- be my girl "O'jays meet the Moments" Stang

Ruby Andrews- Merry go round "genuine Ruby" ABC

Thelma Houston- Nothing left to give Self titled UK Mowest album

Anacostia- What kind of love this is self titled MCA/Quality

the Originals- Don't stop now "Portait of" Soul

as for the Don Garnder "we're gonna make it big" 45, can anyone tell me if it is another version as the LP one?

Cheers,

Stefan
