Ady Croasdell Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Great stuff Dave, what's the story; line-up, history etc. Does the Detroit Historical Soul Society or whatever it's called promote all Detroit music or mainly their own things? Cheers Ady

Cheers Ady Hi Ady, If memory serves correctly it was a loose group of musicians who were gathered by Frank Garcia a few years back to promote their and others legacy. Rob Moss would probably have the exact details as I know he and Frank are Mates. I think Stanley Mitchell was also a member before he passed. I'll try and dig out my notes and put together some info. Meanwhile he's the guys with a few youngsters amongst them doin' their thing... Regards, Dave https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dvl-_M2df4s
Dave Moore Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 Here's a snippet with Buddy Smith at the helm.... Regards, Dave
Dave Moore Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 Here's another snippet showing McKinley Jacskon on the keyboards. Great stuff! Regards, Dave https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H15LSUE-Wy0&feature=related

Dean Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 When people are rattlin' on about withdrawing and moaning about SS, remember posts like this, fascinating, awesome, brilliant. Thanks for post
Ady Croasdell Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Thanks Dave and Boba, great stuff. Watching musicians putting stuff together is fascinating, I love the rehearsals for Cleethorpes. So did Joey do a later recording of the first song, originally by Dee Edwards? Presumably tough to find if Steve ain't snaffled one.

I think Bob was just answering Adys question to who the line up was.
