If you can sacrifice the flip......find some very thin but rigid plastic, cut it to about 90% the size of the 45 and with a thin layer of Araldite, glue it onto the flipside. I did this with a Billy Thompson a few weeks ago and it plays perfect.

1st thing chicken is to make sure you can get it to play fine on the main side and then try one of the said tips

Then let us all know the outcome.

All of these solutions appear to fu*k the B side up, many decades ago I bought a James Barnett on Fame from Soul Bowl that had been super glued on the flip but JA didn't mention that - funny eh! If you are able to align the crack up so that it isn't audible, heat a needle that's held in a cork and using a magnifying glass I just very gently touch the edge of the disc to weld the end of the crack in place. Admittedly it is better on styrene 45s that have a square section edge.

If you have a rare record that's cracked, you can do a few things to fix it. If it a vinyl 45 and it's not warped, you can either tape the B side or glue the edge CAREFULLY to make sure the crack is as flat as possible. As far as the needle's concerned, a flattened crack is no worse than a deep scratch.

If it's styrene, then do the same as above, but be careful what kind of glue you use.

I have a couple of cracked records that I've never been able to find a replacement.
