Hi everyone ! Picked up this on a 70's repro and the sound is truely awful & very quiet , anyone know of an issue that is better quality ?

the original 45 sound quality is totally different, i remember when i first played the original it blew me away!!

classic oldie, which was only issued without a demo on sound city

Are you sure about that Russ ? I'm sure I saw original white demo's of it back then ??.........Quite right though , the boot is awful quality

original label is black/white so maybe it was mistaken for a demo?

Yes agree with all above ! What a 45 : How much for an OG ? or a decent repro The boot sounds like it was recorded form a MIcrophone next to a speaker : Up there with some of those Studio 1 repros for sound quality

One of those tunes you cannot shift from the old grey matter !

I had the boot which i almost had to give away, it was that quiet i thought i had hearing probs sad.gif ....However i,ve got the white demo which is spot on with no audible loss yes.gif

have this copy its a bit muffled

but it looks different to boot in JMs

its lined

also have chaumonts

i need your love / when you love someone

JMs book states b side of boot is -- love is the thing

I've got the same boot as JM : Is this a different one you think ? If its muffled it may be the same problem : Might have to press up a Copy meself !

Thats the one I thought was a proper demo (the lined copy ) as opposed to the one with drawings on ?

Both of those are boots, Chaumonts 100% definite, Sharpets is the pressing with lines drawn on the label, come on Keith! :hatsoff2:

theyve been drawn on

thats how i got it in a collection - silly of me not to spot that
