Well talk about an obscure version, never even knew this existed. Slight label wear and a couple of marks but plays fine. Love the stamp on the label “Professional Copy Not For Sale” lol

RICKY LEWIS – SOMEONE TO LOVE TONIGHT – MERCURY DJ M- 40

Forgotten ‘Eric Mercury’ cover up from the 80’s, stop start dancer, very rarely turns up. This side has a tear on the label (the logo and the M in Mercury are missing) other side is mint

CLAUDE HUEY – FEEL GOOD ALL OVER – EARLY BIRD VG++ 35

Glossy with some marks not affecting play, cracking old Stafford dancer

ERIC LOMAX – SEVEN THE LOSER – COLUMBIA DJ EX 60 SOLDVery hard to find this one nowadays – it seems like it has a little noise underneath the vocal in the right hand channel but it might be pressed like that, I honestly can’t tell – anyway I was going to knock this out at 100 quid so to be on the safe side I’ll stick 60 on it

BEVERLY ANN GIBSON – A THREE DOLLAR BILL – JUBILEE VG++ 45

Has a couple of non sounding marks, and a sticker covering the word Jubilee on the label. Plays fantastic though, good price.

PEGGY MARCH – LOSIN’ MY TOUCH – RCA DJ M- 40 SOLD

This is absolutely brilliant, it’s as good as If You Loved Me is bad – subtle midtempo / beat ballad beauty, it’s been on a couple of my podcasts

DENISE GERMAINE – HE’S A STRANGE ONE – ABC DJ M- 40 SOLD

Brilliant girlie midtempo dancer – unplayed by the looks of it

ERNESTINE ANDERSON – YOU’RE NOT THE GUY FOR ME – SUE VG++ 30

Three in a row for the girls, glossy with a few marks and the odd background pop, still awesome

DARLENE PAUL – ALL CRIED OUT – CAPITOL EX 25 SOLD

Make that four, the original version of Dusty Springfield and others, and it’s superb

CARL BURNETT & THE HUSTLERS – JERK BABY JERK – CARMAX DJ EX 45

Top L.A. dancer, rare vinyl white DJ, old Stafford spin but it’ll have it’s day again thos one. Barry White production / arrangement

THE BRACELETS – YOU’RE JUST FOOLING YOURSELF – 20TH CENTURY EX 30

One time 100 pound sound, nice black issue with very slight ring wear on the raised part of the label

CAROLYN CRAWFORD – MY SMILE IS JUST A FROWN (TURNED UPSIDE DOWN) – MOTOWN VG++ 40

Has a couple of light clicks but no problems, plays great, the other side is absolutely tremendous, I’ll Come Running, that is VG+ couple of clicks right in the middle of the song, labels are spotless

NANCY WILCOX – COMING ON STRONG – RCA BLACK ISSUE VG 30

Used copy but plays fine, and of course very rare as a black stock copy

JO ANN GARRETT – A WHOLE NEW PLAN – CHESS M- 100 SOLD

This looks awesome on the rarer West Coast orange, yellow and vlack label. Fantastic copy, drill hole on the label but otherwise probably the best one I’ve ever seen

ROBERT BANKS – A MIGHT GOOD WAY – VERVE DJ EX 45 SOLD

Gospel tinged stormer from the days of The Torch
