I thought at first the difference was that there were no female backing singers during the chorus on the refosoul version, but I think that's the recording, if you listen (very) carefully they are there. So not sure now.

They both fade out at 2.55 so one isn't longer (even though the youtube clip is 3.10)

Yes they sound different, but i'd put it down to recording, stylus, quality of 45 etc... I'm not sure I can hear anything that means they are different versions.
