Chalky
Don't know (or care) about the music played there don't care about the talc! Don't like the idea of being watched all night If people wipe there feet on the chairs ban them! Nobody is watched all night, I said if seen putting talc down they will be asked to leave. Obviously the security, promoters and club owners have to keep an eye on the place otherwise if something happened and we didn't see it we would be accused of not doing our jobs. You can't win with some folk. Link to comment Social source share

Phild
I hate talc on dancefloors. It's a total menace. It (together with little foil and paper squares down the bogs) nearly shut down Bradford Queens Hall when I was running it on a couple of occasions. And it was the deciding factor for the management at Leeds Astoria to stop us doing any more niters there. Even though I stayed cleaning the floor for two hours after one niter, we could never get it cleaned to their satisfaction. As once they'd noticed the problem they saw talc everywhere, and that was that. Phil Link to comment Social source share
KevH
Somehow I don't think he would be there in any circumstances. I only go where Johnson's Talc is allowed.Johnson's or nowt i says. A good dancer can dance on a washing line,,,,or failing that a carpeted area. Link to comment Social source share

Don't like the idea of being watched all night If people wipe there feet on the chairs ban them! I take it you don't go out then? You are watched every second of every day by someone. The club is called the twisted wheel by the way;) there lies the biggest problem with the talc Spike, some twats think they need to empty a whole bottle which doesnt just stay on the floor, all the dj equipment suffers from it too i thought the Twisted Wheel was in Whitworth street but then again im just a youngster who knows nothing Link to comment Social source share

Guest
The original question posed for this thread was " Talc When was it first used on the scene ? " , which to my mind , wass a sensible one hopeful of considerate and thoughtful discussion . As replies in recent times have become detached from that question , I am closing the thread .
