MarkH Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 Great to catch up the other day mate. Really looking forward to sunday`s show . Got plenty of interesting tunes lined up. Mark H
MarkH Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 I`m going to be ably assisted in the studio on sunday by "Mental Soul`s" Mole and Nelly. They will there to help with technical matters like "where`s the ON switch", "now what does this button do...Oops !!" and most important of all " one sugar, not too much milk !!" Going to be a lot of fun and i promise you will hear some lovely tunes from the 60`s right through to the current day. Mark H
MarkH Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 Records now pretty much sorted out for tomorrow`s show. All i need to do now is to plan how to navigate my way through the weekend`s "engineering works" which dominate the transport landscape at weekends here in london !!
Guest Dave Turner Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 (edited) A bump up for this, first hour and listening to some delicious stuff -- Earles - Someday Baby Pennsylvania Turnpike - People Are falling In Love Ed Robinson - Hey Black Man Ann Peebles - It was Jealousy Jackie Ross & Little Milton belting out now -------------------- FCUKING FABULOUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guest Dave Turner Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 A really great show Mark, look forward to the download so I can hear it all again. Don Varner "The Power of Love" -------- what an iconic record that would have been if it had been a rare 45 and for example a Mecca/Cleethorpes play. Nice to see it's an intended release at last, stormer of a record.
MarkH Posted March 6, 2011 Author Posted March 6, 2011 Arkwright/Pat, thanks for the comments. It really is appreciated (and yes i agree that Don Varner`s "Power of Love" would have made an impact at progressive venues such as those mentioned) Playlist to follow shortly Mark H
MarkH Posted March 6, 2011 Author Posted March 6, 2011 Playlist can be be found in Soul Events-Playlists Download link to follow later Thanks Mark H

Guest Paul Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Great show, Mark, I really enjoyed it. Especially nice to hear my favourite Sharon Jones track 'Tell Me' and of course the forthcoming Rhetta Hughes and Don Varner singles - and Ernie Shelby, Ann Peebles, Tony Hestor, Soul Children, Roscoe Shelton etc. That Rich White track is good too, obviously an Al Green impersonation but not bad at all. Best wishes, Paul
