Kris Holmes Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 try blue, because every black copy I've had has a slight static distortion on the lows & highs as a pressing defect.
Steve Edgar Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 try blue, because every black copy I've had has a slight static distortion on the lows & highs as a pressing defect. Reason why I said if it plays ok? took me a few copies of "Love Love Love" before I got a one that played without distortion too! The curse of Mercury / BlueRock styrene! steve

Dave Pinch Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 of course blacks are earlier but when this was in the usa charts and it was in for 6 months black turned to blue so the last few orig copies are blue........................simples or it is in the case of this 45................. black issue from 1960 odd to mid 67 then blue was phased in so any record on philips that was selling well at that time naturally transgressed dave
