I'm sorry, but that is an ignorant comment. This is a legitimately licensed record. Is it better that some DJ paid too much for a record gets to have it as an exclusive or that the artist actually gets paid and the music gets spread around? Also, I honestly don't see the value being affected too much (often it increases due to exposure), in this case it's only the ego of a DJ suffering in order to get some real money and exposure to the people who made the music.

swing and roundabouts i guess, i contacted the sharkeys around 2005, who where amazed i was interested

in their old recordings......michael sharkey was very very i'll but still wanted to chat..

from what i am aware they breached there own contract with o.i.e records, i know the owner was very dissaponted with

how some attitudes panned out regarding the sharkeys..g.gif

on the view of the re-issue its up to the individual..

me personally im into collection original soul records...

i let the masses get the re-issues, i like to think thats what seperates us a little bit...

all about opinions though :D

Always crap when records are re pressed. Glad i sold my original a while back....Must be a piss off for those who own the real thing!

Each to his own but that comes across as selfish and / or elitist.

Surely it's a good thing if more people get to hear it and buy a legitimate copy at an affordable price?
